- Painless and Quick: The scanner uses two very low-dose X-ray beams to perform the measurement. You will not feel anything during the scan, and the entire process is usually completed in just 10 to 20 minutes.
Preparing for Your Visit: What to Wear
To ensure the most accurate results, please follow these guidelines for your appointment:
- Comfortable and Metal-Free: We recommend wearing loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. Please avoid any attire with metal components, such as zippers, belts, or buttons, as these can interfere with the scan. You may be asked to change into a hospital gown.
- No Calcium Supplements: Please refrain from taking any calcium supplements for at least 24 hours prior to your exam.
